Prerequisites

It is important to have finished the fundamentals of digital product management prior to taking this course. Additionally, it will require willingness to use communication skills as the course will be highly focussed on interviewing people in practice.

Methodology

We will start with theoretical backgrounds and discussions about product discovery techniques and quickly move to practical part where students will have to interview multiple people (as well as find interviewees).

The interview highlights will be presented by students and discussed in groups. The teacher will shadow some of the interviews and provide feedback.

Grading

The final grade will be composed of the following criteria:
40% - 10 Interviews
40% - Participation
20% - Final Presentation

Aleksandr Simukovic is a product leader, AI builder, and educator with more than a decade of experience across B2B SaaS, advertising technology, consumer applications, and 0-to-1 product development. In senior product roles at companies including Adjust and Smartly.io, he has led products from customer discovery and strategy through to launch, adoption, and growth.

Alongside his industry work, Aleksandr builds and ships AI-assisted web and mobile products and teaches modern product development at Harbour.Space. He has helped more than 100 students and non-technical builders turn ideas into working products by combining customer discovery, product strategy, rapid prototyping, AI-assisted development, validation, and go-to-market. His teaching emphasises evidence-based decision-making, hands-on building, and the judgement required to use AI tools critically and responsibly.
